I truly enjoy the chance to visit our schools during the school day. This past week, I was able to be part of events at the high school and at our 3rd – 5th elementary school, Riverside.
On Thursday, I was part of mock interviews with Personal Finance Honors students.
I was very impressed by the students’ challenging coursework, ability to articulate their thoughts & passions, and learn about their future goals. I’m sure they will do amazing things.
I was in good company with fellow professionals from Kohl’s, US Bank, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, BMO Financial Group, UW-Extension, School District of Menomonee Falls, Alto-Shaam, Vollrath, Elevate, Bryant & Stratton College, and more! It’s wonderful to see so many volunteers willing to give of their time to help our students learn.
The next day, I went to Riverside Elementary School to read to third graders on Dr. Suess’ birthday. I read the Sleep Book and then played a Kahoot quiz game with the class. My daughter and I came in third place.
It really is wonderful to be involved with our district. I’m so proud to represent and advocate for these amazing students.
